Paisan Con’s mission is to create opportunities and provide a platform for the next generation of Italian-American artists, performers, filmmakers, comedians, musicians, and creators while preserving and celebrating Italian-American culture, community, identity, tradition, and the “Paisan connection” – the feeling of family, belonging, and support that once brought generations of Italian-Americans together.

Paisan Con is not just an autograph convention. It was born from grief, memory, culture, and the fear of losing something deeply important.

Founded by an independent Italian-American actor and filmmaker, Paisan Con was created from a deeply personal desire to preserve the family connections, stories, music, food, laughter, cinema, and traditions that shaped generations of Italian-American life – while helping uplift and showcase emerging Italian-American artists and creators.

After losing the core of his Italian-American family at a very young age and watching those connections slowly fade over time, he realized many people in the next generation were growing up disconnected from the culture, community, and “Paisan connection” that once held Italian-American families together.

As an emerging artist himself, he experienced firsthand how difficult it can be for talented Italian-American creators to find mentorship, opportunity, support, or even a seat at the table within the entertainment industry. He also recognized that many young Italian-American artists rarely receive support from within their own community in the arts.

So instead of waiting for opportunities to appear, he decided to build something himself – not only for his own dreams, but to help open doors for others as well.

That became Paisan Con.

Even the name reflects that mission. “Paisan” became part of Italian-American culture here in America – passed down through generations in neighborhoods, friendships, and families. The word represents connection, familiarity, loyalty, and belonging. It represents holding onto those bonds instead of letting them disappear with time.

Paisan Con celebrates Italian-American identity through live performances, comedy, music, film screenings, cultural discussions, storytelling, food, and shared experiences designed to bring people together.

At the same time, Paisan Con believes that you don’t have to be Italian to be a Paisan. The event proudly celebrates artists, performers, and creators of all backgrounds who have made an impact on Italian-American culture or participated in projects that have become meaningful parts of Italian-American culture and its history.

For many attendees, the artists, films, television shows, and songs represented at the event are deeply tied to family memories, pride, tradition, and identity. They are not simply fans – they are reconnecting with something personal.

The artists, performers, celebrities, and guests who choose to be part of Paisan Con are not simply attending another convention – they are helping pass the torch to the next generation while keeping a culture, community, and legacy alive for future Italian-American artists and creators.
